Along the 770 km Polish coast today stand 16 active lighthouses. They are connected not only by maritime tradition but also by the officially marked Lighthouse Trail – one of the most photogenic tourist routes in Europe! If you're wondering which lighthouses in Poland to visit and what to see along the way, read on!

What is the Lighthouse Trail and how to "complete" it?

● Length: 770 km (from Świnoujście to Krynica Morska).

● Form: E-9 cycling route (partly asphalt, partly coastal paths), or the car variant DK 6/E-28.

● Time: 5–7 days by car, 10–12 days by bike.

● Souvenir: special “Lighthouse Keeper's Passport” with stamps – available at every lighthouse. More details about the Lighthouse Keeper's Passport here [link].

6 must-see lighthouses on the route – from west to east

  1. Świnoujście. The tallest lighthouse (68 m), 300 steps, view of 3 countries.

  2. Kikut. The oldest (1880) and wooden, built in Swabian style.

  3. Kołobrzeg. Lighthouse museum inside and interactive shows.

  4. Gąski. Picturesque surroundings of lakes and a 360° picnic terrace.

  5. Rozewie. “Pearl of the Baltic” and the first Polish lighthouse on a cliff.

  6. Hel. The northernmost, interiors from 1942.

Rozewie Lighthouse. A few words about the Pearl of the Baltic.

Here, in Rozewie, on the outskirts of Jastrzębia Góra in 1822, stood the first Polish lighthouse on a high cliff. Today Rozewie Lighthouse is less a navigational point for sailors and more a true center of maritime culture:

● Tower height is 33 m, 115 steps to the platform.

● View of the Gdańsk Bay and the Hel Peninsula on a clear day.

● Nearby is the Stefan Żeromski Museum ("Rozewie" villa), 300 m walk.

● Catch the sunset from the terrace – the cliff lights up in gold 20 minutes after sunset.

Weekend plan: 3 days – 3 lighthouses (car version)
